The main focus of this research group is to understand at the molecular and cellular levels how NK cells discriminate between these different target cells. This includes identification of NK cell receptors, signaling pathways and linked effector mechanisms, ligand molecules recognized by NK receptors as well as the mechanisms that lead to ligand expression.
